Another assassination attempt on Trump, suspect arrested


The Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump has faced another assassination attempt. 


According to a Reuters report on Monday, Trump faced assassination attempt while playing golf in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Secret Service foiled that effort.


Secret Service agents opened fire after spotting a man with a gun in bushes near the golf course. The gunman was only a few hundred yards from where Trump was playing.


The suspect left the scene with an AK-47 style assault rifle, two bags and other items and fled in a black Nissan car. He was later arrested.


CNN, Fox News and the New York Times identified the suspect as Ryan Wesley Routh, 58. Routh is from Hawaii, according to unnamed law enforcement officials.


Just two months ago, there was an attempt to kill Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. On that journey, the bullet slightly hit Trump's right ear.


Presidential election in the United States on November 5. Republican candidate Trump's main challenger in the election is Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party, who is currently the country's vice president.
