A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has crashed. The accident happened on Sunday (May 19) in the border area of East Azerbaijan province of Iran.
A helicopter carrying President Ibrahim Raisi has crashed in East Azerbaijan province, Iranian state television said. However, some of Raisi's companions in the helicopter 'managed to contact the control centre.'
It is also said that the search operation of the helicopter has already started. Several rescue teams are trying to reach the crash site.
