Pakistan election results 2024: 'counting' still underway as parties decry outcome delay


Almost 20 hours has gone after vote casting finished in Pakistan. But 'counting' is yet to be finished. In the meantime, political parties have been decrying the outcome delay. 

From last night all eyes are on the television, on news portals and radios with political parties, independent candidates as well as voters eagerly awaiting for the results. 

The much-awaited unofficial and unconfirmed results for the general elections 2024 have started pouring in but very slowly. 

According to Al Jazeera, results started to trickle in nearly 12 hours after polling for national and provincial assemblies ended on Thursday.

It says as the results trickle down, a tight race is seen among the runners of this election. Early results show PMLN, PPP and PTI candidates fighting a close battle.

Latest results, according to Al Jazeera, shows n Idependent candidates (some of them affiliated with PTI) won 18 seats, PMLN got 17, PPP gained 15 and Others conquered 3.
