The much-discussed and popular former judge Frank Caprio has died in the United States. He was 88 years old at the time of his death. The death of this judge, known as the ‘kindest judge in the world’, has cast a shadow of mourning in the United States.
The news of his death was announced on his official Instagram account last Wednesday (August 20). It said, ‘Judge Frank Caprio has passed away peacefully at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was known for his kindness, humility and unwavering belief in the welfare of the people.’
It was also said that Judge Caprio touched the lives of millions of people through his work in the courtroom and beyond. His personality, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.’
The Instagram post added, ‘He will be remembered not only as a respected judge, but also as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His work lives on as his legacy. In his honor, may we all strive to show a little more kindness in the world - just as he did every day.’
Capri was born on November 23, 1936. He grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. Nearly 50 years later, in 1985, he was appointed a municipal court judge in Rhode Island. From 2018 to 2020, Frank participated in the television show ‘Cut in Providence’. Which brought him immense fame. The show was also nominated for an Emmy Awards.
On December 6, 2023, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In an Instagram post, he informed his fans and asked for prayers for his recovery. He said, "Pray for me... your help will give me strength in this fight."
In the video message, he also said, "Recently, I was not feeling well and I underwent a medical test. The report is not good. I have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which is a dangerous form of cancer." A day before his death, he had informed everyone about his physical condition and requested prayers.
