Amit Shah and a senior R&AW official authorised killing of Sikh leader in Canada: Washington Post

India's Home Miniser Amit Shah

Pro-Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar was killed on the orders of India's Home Minister Amit Shah and a senior R&AW officer and Canadian officials had shared the information with India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, US media Washington Post said in a report citing Canadian officials amid growing India-Canada diplomatic tension.

Conversations involving Indian diplomats, which were intercepted by Canadian authorities, contained mentions of "a senior official in India and a senior official in RAW," as reported by the Post. The report indicated that Canadian authorities had identified this "senior official" as Mr. Shah.

According to the Post, the Indian government did not provide any comments regarding the allegations.
