US Troops Stationed On The Chinese Border, Taiwan Admits

The United States has deployed troops to the islands of Taiwan on the border with China. Although there have been rumors about this for quite some time, Taiwan has finally accepted the matter. The British newspaper The Telegraph has published this news in a report.

According to reports, US troops are stationed on a small island in Taiwan, just four miles from the Chinese border. Analysts believe that the US military presence under China's nose will further increase the Washington-Beijing tension.

China claims Taiwan as its territory. The US is arming the country despite verbally admitting it. Recently, Washington announced in an announcement that they are training Taiwanese troops on the island of Formosa in Taiwan.

However, the Pentagon has never acknowledged the presence of US troops in the country. Recently, the issue came up in several reports of the international media.

According to published reports, many US troops have been deployed in Taiwan's Kinmen Islands. The island is located just 3.7 miles from the border with the Chinese coastal city of Xiamen.

The Taiwanese government opened up about it after the matter came to the media. The country's defense minister, Chiu Kuo Cheng, admitted the matter at a press conference last Tuesday and said that Taiwanese soldiers are receiving training from US soldiers. He also claimed that the issue is 'exchange of military cooperation'.

According to the Defense Minister, the exchange is aimed at mutual observation, identification of common problems and how to improve them. So that we can learn from them.

The Kinmen Islands are located on the other side of the Taiwan Strait. The 110-mile-wide strait separates China and Taiwan. The archipelago is about 100 miles from Taiwan. But easily visible from mainland China.

Taiwan has recently deployed amphibious troops to the Kinmen Islands and other neighboring islands out of fear of attacking China. US officials say China may attack Taiwan by 2027.

However, in addition to the Taiwanese army, US troops have also been deployed in these islands, which was reported a few days ago. However, the number of troops deployed was not mentioned.

According to a report by Daily Express, the United States passed a law called The National Defense Authorization Act (ADAA) in 2023. Under that law, the country sent troops to the islands bordering China in the name of training Taiwan's troops.
