Aaron Bushnell wants his ashes scattered in a free Palestine

Aaron Bushnell, a member of the US Air Force who immolated himself, wanted his ashes scattered in a free Palestine.

He made an will before sacrificing his life saying, "If a time comes when Palestinians regain control of their land, and if the people native to the land would be open to the possibility, I would love for my ashes to be scattered in a free Palestine."

Aaron Bushnell could not accept the support of the United States in the massacre of Israel in Gaza, Palestine.

In protest he chose the extreme way of setting his body on fire. He was taken to hospital with severe burns. But could not be saved.

Aaron, 25, was wearing military uniform when he set himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington DC last Sunday.

The horrific event transpired at 13:00 local time, witnessed by onlookers and captured in a live video streamed on Twitch.

When he was burning on fire, he was saying live on social media that he did not want to associate himself with the genocide in Gaza.

After setting his body on fire, Aaron was still shouting, 'Free Palestine' even after he fell to the ground.

As people rushed to try and save his life, an Israeli embassy agent reportedly held a gun fixed on Aaron Bushnell following his self-immolation.

When Aaron died in the hospital on Monday, Israel's indiscriminate attack on Gaza was still going on. About 30,000 armless Palestinians have been killed in the valley so far.

Aaron Bushnell was born in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Raised in Massachusetts. Schooled at Cape Cod Peninsula Public School there.

He later studied Computer Software Engineering from Southern New Hampshire University. Then studied computer science at the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Aaron has been on active duty in the US Air Force since May 2020. He served as a cyber defense officer in the 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing of the force. Also served in the 531st Intelligence Support Squadron of the Air Force.

Aaron Bushnell describes himself as an 'ambitious software engineer' on LinkedIn. He has been working in a San Antonio-based company since March last year.

He also wrote that in November 2020, he became the 'best' in Air Force Basic Training. He has a 'talent to solve complex problems using code'.

Israel has been attacking Gaza since October 7 last year. The country's close ally, the United States, is supporting this ongoing campaign. Washington is also arming Israel to attack Gaza.

There are regular protests in the United States condemning Israeli killings. US President Joe Biden's popularity has also fallen ahead of the upcoming election due to his support for the Gaza attack, analysts say.
