PTI won 170 seats: Gahar Ali Khan


Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) actually won 170 seats out of 265 seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan. This was claimed by the chairman of the party, Barrister Gahar Ali Khan.


The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has yet to announce the full results after the general elections were held on Thursday (February 8). Out of 265 constituencies, the results of 253 constituencies have been declared so far. According to ECP data, out of these, PTI got 96.


Nawaz Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) 74, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) 53 and others 30. 48 hours have passed since the end of polling, but the results of 14 constituencies are yet to be declared. As a result, frustration and anger among PTI leaders and supporters is increasing. They have already started protests.


The leaders of PML-N have started running for the formation of the coalition government even from the second position in the results. According to local media reports, Nawaz's PML-N and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's PPP have already reached a consensus to form a coalition government.

 

PTI Chairman Gahar Ali Khan told the media in such a situation on Saturday (February 10). He said, "We are very confident that PTI has won 170 seats in the National Assembly right now.


He further said that out of these 94 seats, ECP is admitting victory and has issued Form-47 (Provisional Results). Gahar also said that according to Form-45, PTI won 22 seats including three in Islamabad, four in Sindh and Punjab. But they showed the defeat of PTI candidates.


Gohar Ali Khan also said that PTI will try to form the government. Because they won the most seats in the general elections. In a press conference in Islamabad, he said that PTI will hold a peaceful protest on Sunday if the full results are not declared by Saturday night. 


He urged all institutions of Pakistan to respect the people's mandate towards his party. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also claimed victory.
