A new cabinet of 19 members sworn in Pakistan. Among them 18 full ministers and 1 state minister.
On Monday (11 March) New President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath to 19 Ministers at the President House in the capital Islamabad.
The National Anthem was played at the beginning of the ceremony. The recitation is done from the Holy Quran.
Who got chance in the Pakistan's new cabinet?
Before hours of the oath taking ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz sent a note to President Zardari regarding the new cabinet.
According to Dawn, the note said that 12 members of the National Assembly (MNA), 3 senators got chance in the cabinet. Besides, them, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Mohsin Naqvi and Ahad Cheema are in the cabinet as technocrats.
Shahja Fatima Khawaja has been made the Minister of State. She is the only woman in the new cabinet.
After the swearing-in ceremony, Pakistan's Ministry of Information announced the names and portfolios of the new Ministers and Ministers of State in a press release.
In the new cabinet, Khawaja Muhammad Asif has been given the portfolio of Defence, Defense Production and Aircraft Movement, Mohammad Ishaq Dar of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Aurangzeb of Finance and Revenue, Mohsin Naqvi of Interior and Narcotics Control.
